Dr. Alisa J. Henley, PhD
Dr. Henley brings over two decades of organizational psychology expertise to faith-based ministry consulting. Holding a PhD in Industrial Psychology, she has partnered with churches and ministries across 27 states and 3 countries — helping organizations unlock their full potential through strategic development and leadership excellence.
The Sunshine Organization was born in 2011 when Dr. Henley shared a conviction with a colleague: “What we’re doing for businesses has to be able to bless the church.” That conviction became a calling — and that calling became an organization that has since served over 200 ministries.
Her work seamlessly integrates biblical principles with proven organizational psychology — creating sustainable transformation that honors both faith and excellence.

Organization Founded

2013
First Capacity Grant
Secured first capacity building grant, expanding reach and programming.
2014
Summit Launched
Launched Growing Healthy Ministries Summit with 61 inaugural attendees.
2016
Governance Summit
Introduced a dedicated Governance Summit for board development.
2018
International Expansion
Completed first international consulting assignment across 3 countries.
2020
Virtual Innovation
Pivoted to host the first virtual summit during the pandemic.
